Wi-Fi CSI
Wi-Fi CSI
Overview
Wi-Fi CSI (Channel State Information) is a technology that perceives environmental states by analyzing signal propagation variations during wireless transmission, enabling applications such as health monitoring, activity recognition, and intelligent security.
Realtek WiFi chips support capturing high-precision CSI data from multiple Wi-Fi packet types (e.g., data/management/control frames), including both unicast and broadcast communication modes. Combined with network topologies such as STA/SoftAP/hybrid networks, this enables highly adaptable scenario-specific solutions.
Advantages
Rich Configuration Interfaces
- Realtek Wi-Fi CSI enables standardized API interfaces and customizable configurations (e.g., subcarrier selection, sampling rate adjustment), supporting STA/SoftAP/hybrid-network topologies to deliver highly flexible scenario-based solutions for developers.
Low Deployment Costs
- Reuses existing Wi-Fi infrastructure without additional sensors.
- Lightweight computing architecture allows edge devices to perform real-time processing (e.g., compact machine learning models).
Non-Line-of-Sight Penetration
- Capable of penetrating walls and furniture to detect activities in obscured scenarios (e.g., human presence through barriers).
Privacy Protection
- Relies on analyzing wireless signal fluctuations instead of capturing images/videos, eliminating privacy risks associated with cameras.
